Terms of service
Last updated 4 October 2026
These terms apply when you order or use any Black Host service. By placing an order you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Black Host (“we”, “us”) provides web hosting, servers, domains and related services. You can contact us at hello@blackhost.online.
2. Orders and accounts
An order is a request to buy. A contract starts when we confirm your order by email. You must give accurate details and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
3. Payment and renewals
Prices are in pounds sterling. Monthly services renew monthly and yearly services renew yearly until you cancel. We email you before each renewal. If an invoice is unpaid we may suspend the service until it is paid.
4. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time before your next renewal. Our refund policy explains the 14-day money-back guarantee and what is not refundable.
5. Acceptable use
You must follow our acceptable use policy. We may suspend or remove services that break it.
6. Service availability
We aim for 99.9% uptime on our hosting services, but this is a target and not a guarantee. We may carry out maintenance and will try to give notice of planned work.
7. Backups and your data
We take daily backups of hosting accounts as a convenience and keep them for 14 days. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important data.
8. Domains and SSL
Domains and SSL certificates are provided through third-party registries and authorities. Their rules apply, and you must keep your contact details accurate.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end a service if you break these terms, if an invoice stays unpaid, or if we have to by law. Where we can, we tell you first.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We will tell you about material changes by email before they take effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland, and the courts of Northern Ireland have jurisdiction. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
