Privacy policy
Last updated 4 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Black Host collects, why we collect it and your rights under UK data protection law.
What we collect
- Contact and order details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number and domain names.
- Billing records for the services you buy.
- Technical logs from our servers and website, such as IP addresses, used to keep services secure and running.
Why we use it
We use your data to provide and bill for our services, to support you, to keep our systems secure and to meet our legal duties. Our legal bases are contract, legitimate interests and legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We share data only where needed to run our services, for example with payment providers, domain registries, certificate authorities and email delivery providers. We do not sell your data.
Cookies and your browser
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your basket is stored in your own browser and is not sent to us until you submit your order. Our pages load the Onest font from Google Fonts, which may involve Google receiving your IP address.
How long we keep it
We keep order and billing records for as long as the law requires, usually six years. Other data is kept only as long as we need it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data, and to object to certain uses. Contact us at hello@blackhost.online. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
